I am, amongst other things, a medical student just on the wrong side of 29. I’ve written this blog just for me.  It feels good so far. The first post is probably a bit upsetting and full of triggers, so I hope it doesn’t catch you at a bad moment.

You’ve said what you needed to, @lellymo. Now go and live your life just the way you want to. You owe it to yourself and every other person who’s had someone try to break them. There are lots of us about.

You’re right, it’s been good to get it off my chest. But in the nicest way, I sincerely hope I don’t owe anybody anything, I simply don’t have enough energy.

I wish you all the luck and happiness in your life . If you follow the path you are on now im sure you will make a very caring and approachable doctor.

You’re right to direct no more energy at this subject. But you seem to feel sad about starting again now at 29+. I had my experiences at 9-10 and it took 30 years before I could face what happened and begin my life. No loss, though. Getting through an experience like this turns you into a very special kind of person and I wouldn’t want to be different.

My friend Julia sent me this last night and we both found it simultaneously heart-breaking and heart-warming. You seem to have come out from the experience remarkably well and we applaud you.
